No Hands, No 53-man Roster

Head Coach Rex Ryan remains unsatisfied with what he's seen from his wide receiver core in offseason practices.

"We've had some I've never seen," Ryan said on dropped passes, in today's press conference. "We had a couple drops in walkthroughs yesterday…To me, as a wide receiver, it's hard to believe I make the team if I continue to drop the balls."

Rex Ryan also didn't rule out the possibility of WR's being cut and outside additions being made.

Santonio Holmes remains out with injury, and Stephen Hill was just able to start going through drills in yesterday's practice, although he has had catching issues of his own.

On veteran Mike-Sims Walker's try-out, Ryan was equally unimpressed.

On Kellen Winslow Jr., he is expected to be signed after practice today, and Ryan has been happy from his impact in practice.

Ryan wouldn't say anything on Winslow's potential signing, but did say to members of the media, "You see what I see—the athletisicm and ability to catch the ball."

Anything Winslow brings to the table will be appreciated, as two tight-end sets may be required if the wide receiver core can't pick it up in training camp.

Update: Winslow was not signed following practice, but all indications remain pointed towards it happening.

Brian founded One Jet at a Time in late 2012 as a creative hobby which soon became a more serious outlet to discuss his favorite NFL team. At a very young age, he liked both the Drew Bledsoe-led Patriots and the Vinny Testaverde-manned Jets. That's what will happen when you don't understand divisions and rivals, and also want to cheer against your family. That's obviously changed...well the first part, anyway.
